Hostelworld.com announced the details of their annual conference and Hoscar Awards event which could be found on their official conference page, including some major changes from the previous ones.
First of all, the location will be, according to the rumours - sadly for those who enjoyed those backpacking trips in Ireland so far but happily for those who rather spend their business holidays in another busy and rainy country -, it will be hold in a different location, which this time it will be: London!!!
Another improvement is, that their plan is to go easy in London about the conference part and rather focus on the Hoscar party, meanwhile they will separate the sessions by holding miniconferences in every country. So, this time, Hostelworld will come to you!

Speaking from North America, I really like the idea of the geographic based mini-conference especially if there is no regional attendance restrictions. I, for instance, would like to attend conferences in NYC, eastern Canada and the west coast of North America. The potential of the vast North American market is astoundingly poorly addressed and creating linkages through conferences to improve the service of the market is crucial to the growth of it. This probably applies in many other regions outside of Europe as well.

There are also plans for many Hostel Management Unconferences in 2011 (I've been trying to get them launched on every continent since 2009, but it's a matter of resources :)). I'm just confirming dates for the first 2 or 3 cities (1 in N America so far).
