That is an interesting article. First it says:
Critics of the ban insist that weed tourists (a reliable cash cow in a time of economic uncertainty) have gotten a bad rap -- that it is the alcohol-fueled weekend stag parties that have raised blood pressure levels among the natives.
Then it says:
Drug tourists "block streets in the city centre, they don't respect parking rules, they are noisy and, when they go from one coffee shop to another, they urinate and vomit in the street," Joep Delsing, spokesman for the mayor of Maastricht, said at the time.
Do the coffeeshops really make people urinate and vomit in the street? I didn't know they were allowed to sell alcohol. :confused:
