Ideas for Hostel location

Hi all,

Was hoping for some advice & opinion on my early ideas for starting up a hostel.

I have kept my mind open to possible locations with early criteria being that the country of choice be in the EU & that the setting be in/near the mountains. Hopefully the benefits of being in the EU will make the process easier. I would quite like a location near the mountains & hoped to get 2 very busy seasons; winter sports (maybe 4 months) & summer backpackers (hopefully taking up the remaining 8 months).

Granada in Spain seems to offer a good tourist destination year round with the Sierra Nevada Mountains good for both summer & winter activities.
Brasov in Romania is among the best ski areas in the country as well as it being 1 of the main tourist hubs in Romania.
I have also been doing some research into Austria with the route from Innsbruck - Munich via the mountains.

As mentioned above this is early days & big obstacles such as language barriers & finance need to be overcome. These aside i was hoping for your views on the places mentioned above & any other suggestions where you think a hostel/ another hostel could succeed. Plus what do you think are the major pitfalls of opening a hostel in a Ski area?
