5 Scottish Hostels to Close

Just heard confirmation that 5 more Scottish YHA hostels are to close. Loch Lomond, John O'Groats, Melrose, Kirk Yetholm and Broadmeadows (the first ever scottish hostel). Cite the usual reasons such as "necessary as it had to make best use of scarce resources.", but it seems to me that they have to keep selling hostels to pay for the wages of the top heavy administration. In my opinion anyway. They can't seriously suggest taht Loch Lomond is not viable. They'll be lucky to have 20 left in a decade.
