Hi Hostel Owners/Investors/Managers of Hostel Management,

I would love the chance to find out more about your experiences with hostels, and how you got into the industry, how you got started with your own hostel, sucesses/failures etc.

I have experience with travel, both profesionally and personally, and I'm looking into starting/investing into a hostel. I have a set amount of money I'd like to invest, but beforehand, I'd like to gain as much feedback/thoughts from people with other hostel experiences. I could also be looking for other partners, managers, hostels to invest in, so if you have interest, please let me know.

Hello, my name is Larry and I have some great contacts for Hostels in Peru, Brasil, Ecuador, and Columbia that you won't find advertised - and can be really great bargains. I'm also willing to partner with the right location and concept. The hostel business is a great business and works in the correct locations and with the correct setup. I can help with all of this. I am an American who builds Eco projects throughout central and South America so I have lots of contacts in this area. What type of hostel are you looking for? Beach, mountains, jungles? Also, have you considered Ecuador? I was working with someone in a major backpacker destination there and negotiated a great lease to own on a 22 bedroom, fully furnished hostel that just needs a few minor upgrades and marketing - the deal did not happen and it's available.

I'm not an agent, I am a builder but I would be glad to help since I am currently back and forth between Ecuador and Peru regularly. I can give you some seriously experienced (22years) insights into some great deals that are not on anyone's radar in one of the top backpacker zones. Thanks for replying on this thread.

I'd love to hear more on your experiences, and what you currently are looking to do.

I am currently researching what country to start the hostel in, with a higher chance being in South/Central America due to ease of setting up shop there compared to South East Asia.

An option could be to build a hostel from sctrach, so its an interesting proposal. Whats the best way for us to chat?
