Guest Safety & Security Discussion Questions

• Do you screen guests before checking them in? If so, what are two or three things you look for that make you say yes or no?

• How do you train your staff on guest screening?

• What steps do you take to ensure guests' safety once they are staying at the hostel?

• What steps have you tried that you found were ineffective?

• How do you deal with a problem guest? Give an example of an issue you have had in the past and how you dealt with it.

• If you have to ask a guest to leave, how does that conversation go? (What words do you use, how do guests generally react, etc.)

• What is your biggest advice or lesson learnt dealing with guest safety & security?
