I never had but reading about them has made me super nervous to go to the airport. I always feel like a criminal just because I want to board a plane. Some pretty bad ones are listed here http://rawjustice.com/2010/11/22/10-of-the-most-outrageous-tsa-horror-stories/
some highlights:
4 year old handicapped boy being forced to take off his leg braces (the only way he can walk) and then walk through the metal detector on his own.
A cancer survivor (and flight attendant) being forced to remove her prosthetic breast and show it them.
man handling a 3 year old after she freaked out at having to put her teddy through the xray scanner
and much more...
It seems like TSA have the right to do whatever they want to you. I read the TSA Screening and Your Rights paper and the number one thing on the list is
"You have the right to not go through electronic strip search (aka AIT, MMW, WBI)is.gd/ihEwf… but if you are “selected” (e.g. “SSSS” mark) and choose not to go through, you will get an “enhanced pat down”… and even if you do go through, you might get an “enhanced pat down” anyway"
So I have the right to not go through but I'll be patted down and even if I DO go through I can be patted down any way? Those are some real good rights...
