Hmm. I suppose between them they cater to varied tastes. I would only stay in Ashlee House among them. The others cater well to extrovert types who like to make friends in a noisy atmosphere. I've seen some serious criticisms of several of them in terms of things like arguments over bookings, noise at night, etc. None are good for kitchens -- some have the dreaded 'rent your dishes at the desk', others have only a microwave or none at all.

Yes, I agree with all that but I would probably say that they are London's best choice. The overall standard in London is pretty low with a lot of really bland places full of people on working holidays and only a handful that are really set up for travellers staying just a couple of days.
