No way to sign anything. Because "anything"
will be for solely benefit of hostelworld.

No illusions, no hard feelings, lets be pragmatic, this is capitalism and HW is a 500 million company, owned by a hedge fund, and now they acquired Hostelbookers

HW controls the small properties market. Period.

HW do nothing for properties, or the travellers,
HW is just a "middle man" who started early, gained visibility and kept everyone paying the 10% and promoting HW.

Well, its time to wake up, reduce costs,
and have fair practices for both properties and travellers.

In todays's world, the function or existence of HW is totally worthless.
First step towards better industry practices:
do not sign HW contract.

What do you think HW will do?
put all properties out their websites?

Really? and what money will they collect?

Even if few properties sign and stay in, availability will be un-sufficient,
travellers will look somewhere else
and HW will go to bankrupcy.

So this is a very easy situation
for all small properties,
just don't sign the HW contract
and have them do what is good
for us and the travellers

and increase property costs and conditions!
