Do you remember when...?

This thread is just for fun, and no real purpose. Do you remember the first time you introduced new things into your hostel, and what made you decide to do it. Here are some things to start the thread:

Do you remember when you introduced Internet for the first time? What made you decide to put it in?

Do you remember making guests beds up before they arrive? What made you decide to do this? Was it to keep up with the trend, or was it that people could never be bothered to make their bed?

Do you remember converting your dorms from single-sex to both-sexes? Or other way around?

Do you remember (if you're old enough) when you stopped making all the guests do chores?
