We are thinking seriously about opening the hostel in Russia this spring,
but analysing the current situation we got really worry about the amount of guests for this year.
So I'm wondering how serious the economical crisis can affect to the new Russian hostel?
And do you feel the crisis affects to your hostel already?

Are you in the US too? I don't know of any angels, lol. If you find any let me know. I've found the property now I just need the financing. I've hit a brick wall. It's funny how now is the perfect time but no one wants to bite. To be continued. . . :(

Business angel sounds a lot like a Limited partner, is there a difference? Maybe a small business entrepreneur would be interested in going into business with you, like a Hotelier or Restaurateur.

Apple computers started in a recession... besides the recession is nearly over (depending on where u live) also if it was the begining of a recession i would say "wait" but now its fine in my own opinion !

My hostel is in St.Petersburg, Russia!
In summer time here's really lots of tourists, so we don't feel any crisis.
The hostel is small, 4 rooms - 12, 10, 8 bed dorms and one double room.
Most expensive is the rent - good location cost alot. well, actually economical crisis even helped me, because apartaments rental now cheaper!

Before opening the hostel I was working in 3 other hostels in St.Pete
So I had some information about what to expect.
The only surprice was in the beggining of june - much less then I expected.
I know that it also happened in other hostels Russia but still I don't know why.
In general the occupsancy is quite high)
