Is your hostel on any of these backpacker trails? Have you traveled any of them?
I haven't been to any of them except parts of old Route 66 while driving across the US...

east coast of australia... im reasonably familiar with; having worked in melbourne, brisbane, byron bay and now sydney (and i spent some time on the gold coast too). ive also spent some time in NZ - but that was on family holidays as a kid rather than as a backpacker.
