HostelManagement.com is starting to offer several free services for hostels. These services are offered on a limited first-come, first-served basis.
Free Hostel Web Site Development
I've noticed that some of the hostels that join the hostel directory don't have a Web site, or they are just using a service like Blogspot to host their Web site. HostelManagement.com is offering free hostel Web sites to hostels under 60 beds that don't already have their own Web site on their own domain name. These Web sites will be built with a database-driven content management system on the hostel's own domain name, and they are optimized for high search engine rankings to help the hostels get off to a good start.

Another free service is a "search engine marketing" site audit, which offers recommendations on how to increase a hostel's Internet presence. (I do search engine marketing for a living.) There is no catch -- I ask for a hyperlink back to HostelManagement.com from somewhere on the hostel's sites in exchange for the free services, that is all. The free Web development is limited to smaller hostels that don't already have a Web site. The search engine marketing audit is for any-size hostel.
