I was really hoping that the next Un-Conference would be in Berlin in November and then I would holiday down through Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.
November 4-7 at Wombats Berlin. It won´t be an "Un(concious)conference" though, but an "International Hostel Staff (Con)Fusion".
Stay tuned, we´re still working on the details.

That "International Hostel Staff (Con)Fusion" meeting sounds like too much fun already!
I wanna go!

Hi Everyone.
The GoMio team is pleased to announce some of the following topics that will be discussed at the World Hostel Conference in New York this November:
The latest technology for hostels (including business intelligence, passport and driver's license scanners that interface with property management systems, channel managers that reduce your need to log into booking portals, etc),
The hostel scene in various cities (from Amsterdam to Prague to LA to NYC to Toronto and more!),
How to improve operations at hostels,
Marketing ideas for hostels (both online and offline),
New types of guests staying at hostels, and
How to identify and deal with bed bugs.
There will be an opening reception at the DUMBO Loft, a closing event at the Brooklyn Brewery, and other networking and social events planned in between.
Please note that the list of speakers has been updated at www.GoMio.com/conference2010.
Please feel to contact us at if you have any questions about the conference.
Consistent with GoMio's previous conferences, our goal is to make this event a valuable learning, networking, and enjoyable experience. New York is an amazing city to experience, and we hope to see you there this November!
