I haven't been to YH Plakias in 4 years, but in just a few days here I've already met at least 7 repeat guests who I've met here on previous trips. To me this is the ideal hostel. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the Plakias Hostel Showcase article for details... :)
Starting the trip back tomorrow...

Had a 12 hour layover in Geneva on the way back. I had enough time to go into town to take a few photos. My first time in Switzerland...
The prices were a surprise. $5 for a 50cl bottle of water at the airport. Only spent 2 hours outside the airport, so I'm not sure if everything is that expensive. Got change for the bus at Starbucks and saw that the smallest hot chocolate was going for 7.10 Swiss francs (~$6.50)...

When I was in Switzerland in March 07 I thought prices were reasonable compared with Britain. With the change in exchange rate since then, I would probably call them a touch more expensive than ours.
But don't take airport prices as typical of anything except airports. Even in Prague airport, when I was given a free voucher to spend because of a severe delay, I could not buy half of what I would have got in the street in England. Those prices you quoted are ripoffs, and I greatly resent how they take advantage of people due to the prohibition from carrying water through the security. (low-cost airlines don't supply water except at £1.50 per 500ml.)
