Help Starting a Hostel

I am a Canadian who has had a dream to start a hostel for a long time. I have stayed in my fair share of hostels and I know that I want to own my own one day. Me and some friends have been talking about starting one for a while. But they do not seem to want to commit to it. I am looking for some help or possibly someone with some experience to team up with. I am heading to Nicaragua in June to meet with lawyers and real estate agents to start getting myself familiar with the process and to see what exactly I will need to make this dream come true. I'm Kevin Paulson. While I'll be a few months behind you as to getting to Nicaragua, I plan on being there around Sept. I'm not sure we may share the same dream, as I am looking at a more hybrid type of project than just a "Hostel", perhaps we could exchange some ideas? I have been on this site for a few years and not a ton of luck, but figured I would give it another shot.
I have done a ton of research over a # of years and Nica has been my top target, althought that may change if the political climate worsens with ole Danny O. I have been in touch by email with several attorenys regarding residency, thru real estate, and to forming a corporation. That is part of what is taking me a bit of time, is getting all my paperwork together and having it " transulated, notarized and apostiled".
I have owned and operated a successful Hotel/Bar/Restaurant in the in the past, and am a Chef by trade, so i do have experience at some of the requirements needed. Anyways,, if any of this interests you, feel free to email me; [email protected].

My family has owned a couple pieces of property in Nica for years now and we have yet to build anything on either of them. Its been a dream of mine for a while now to open/build a really cool hostel or guest house but I too am in need of a partner (and money!) If you're interested in talking more let me know! The land is just sitting there beggin to be used!

Similarly to RikkiBale. I own a 2000 m2 beechfront lot to be developed in Little Corn Island (12º16’52”N, 82º58’37”W). Great tourist potential; great spot; no building yet; municipal electricity and water. Willing to stay and work there as I find a business partner.
