Hostel in New Brunswick Canada turns to Crowdfunding to purchase hostel property.

Hello all.

The owner of the Newman House Hostel needs $5000 to purchase the property and building in which the hostel is located. We've visited this hostel and met the owner Sharon, and found the hostel provides a fantastic place for staying while visiting the great city of Saint John, New Brunswick. Saint John is a really amazing City, really under-stated in terms of what a great place it is to visit. It has many historical and architectural marvels, the amazing Reversing Rapids, a wonderful Saint John market, and really cool downtown, lots of culture, and so much more. The Newman House is the only hostel in Saint John.

Sharon herself is professional, a friendly host, travel lover, people lover, animal lover and genuinely cares about her hostel and her guests. The building itself was built before the Great Fire of Saint John, and is the perfect base for exploring the city.

I wanted to get this out to the hostelling community, because we at Backpackers Hostels Canada believe this hostel is worth keeping, is a real treasure for the reasons stated above, and we believe that Sharon is the perfect person to continue to operate it.
