A few questions:
How many beds will the hostel have?
Are you looking for software to manage your transactions or just the reservations?
What is the name of the town you are opening the hostel in? (for transportation information)

I have so many questions that I do not know where to begin. Most people in this area have never heard of a hostel and those who have associate it to the movie:(
I guess one of the biggest questions is what is the best way to get my hostel known to people? I have contacted our visitors bureau and plan on becoming a member. They will help me advertise but most people who come to visit have already made plans for a place to stay before they get here. Second, should I find a web designer, marketer, advertiser, locally or is there some place that is best for this? Also how do I go about signing up to have online reservation system? Where do I get a computer check in system in order to simplify the process? I guess I will stop with the questions for now, I would love any help that I could get. Thanks so much,

We are setting the rooms up as follows:
Room 1 & 2 will be private with a double bed and a set of bunk beds each.
Room 3 female only with 4 sets of bunk beds.
Room 4 male only with 4 sets of bunk beds.
Room 5 & 6 will be coed with 4 sets of bunk beds each.
So a total of 36 to 40 depending on if children are brought to the private rooms.
I am looking for software to manage the transactions, and the town that we are in is Laurelville Ohio which is right in the Hocking Hills. I am open to any ideas as this is my first business adventure.

I would start with signing up to agents (HW, HB, booking.com etc). Then get a local web designer who knows what he is doing and get the website up. We do marketing and advertising ourselves, just need a good graphic designer (ours is a web designer too).
