Hostelworld Reviews - how often are they updated?

Are Hostelworld reviews still updated every 6 months? I.e., only showing reviews from the past 6 months?

Our hostelworld reviews disappear after 6 months for sure. Makes it hard to build up a decent number of reviews if you have a small hostel, as you start from scratch pretty much each season. Though it does give you the opportunity to up your rating I guess if you make improvements. Hostels.com, another HW site seem to stay on forever.

On Hostelworld.com, reviews/ratings drop off after 6 months, and your overall rating is based only on the previous 6 months of reviews. I think this is a good system. HI hostels listed on www.hihostels.com have all their reviews since the beginning of time count towards their overall average, so their overall average tells you nothing about how they are currently maintaining themselves. If I'm not mistaken, Hostelbookers uses the the last 25 reviews, which is good, but not as good as Hostelworld.
