Hello everybody.

At first, in my proyect I decided to install independent lockers. But recently I´ve found a company selling lockers to install down de bunk beds. These lockers move over little wheels.
The prices are very similar, and I can imagine the advantages on the save of space in small places. But I don´t know if during the dayly use of the guests could cause special bothers or troubles to others guests.
Please if you have any experience in the matter, I would be very grateful in order to make a decision.

Having the lockers under the beds will definitely save a lot of space in the rooms. I have used some that I liked and some that I didn't in my travels. Before you buy them, think about these things that might be problematic:

How will your guests get into the lockers? Is there a door on the front, or do you have to pull them out first and then open a door on top?

Door on the front:
Does the door open to the side, or does it drop down to the floor. If it drops down to the floor, make sure that you have something on the front to support it so that it doesn't break the door or destroy your floor when guests slide heavy bags into the locker.

Door on the top:
How much much noise does it make to pull the lockers out and open them?
Is there something to hold the door up when it's open, or can it fall down on your guest's head while they look through their belongings?

Hello Rucksack Brian
You have made some appointments I had´nt thought about.
First of all, even I save space with the lockers down the beds, I can imagine the mess in a dorm when four guests open their lockers and another four try get in at the same time. Really it could be a little madness.
Besides, as you have told, in the model the company has showed me I cannot see any open or close system of the lockers to keep safetly from heads guests.
About the noise done when they open, I am supposed they will have rubber dand on the wheels, but certainly I don´t Know.
So I see, with similar prices on both systems, I will not risk and choose the traditional independent lockers.
Thank you very much for your considerations, they have been very clearfull for me.
