I recently traveled around Europe and had some great experainces staying in hostels. I have done a bit of traveling throughout my life, however, this was the first time I came home with an idea to open up a hostel. Since I have been back I have been doing some research into the industry and where to locate a business. For me, I think the EU would be the best market place for what I am trying to achieve, however, I am don't know much about owning a business in a country that I am not a citizen of. I live in the states, is it possible to get a work visa if I am not being employeed by an EU company? Would I need an EU citizen as a partner? Could I use a passport and just travel back an froth between the countries. These are some of the questions that are currently holding me back from diving into this thing. Does anyone have experaince when it comes to this?
Also, I am trying to figure out the Net Yearly Income for a 50-75 bed hostel. I have been looking through some of the forums but nothing gives percise numbers. Does anyone have a good idea of what that number would look like?

Almost all EU countries have a special visa for business owners (or for people who are going to open a company). The conditions depend on the country.
Income also depends on the country, on the place, which you will choose for you hostel, and of course on how you will manage your business.
