Medical services
We now have a German doctor having a surgery here at the hostel every Thusday evening.
We do get rather a lot of drink related injuries!!

Wow,
We've always been advised not even to give anyone asprin or paracetamol in case they have a reaction to it and sue us. Never thought of getting a doctor on site!

An interesting point - some countries have considerably more litigation than others. I think it is true that you can sue a Council in the UK if one paving slab is more than 10mm above or below the adjacent one and you fall as a result. You should see the state of our roads and pavements! Drops in excess of 300mm are common!
Many years ago I had a girl walk off our roof at 5am (drink related) that was not adequately guarded. Fortunately she only suffered a hairline fracture to the scull. However, she knew that litigation would fail over here and so did not bother. (The roof is now properly protected.)
The UK is going the way of the US. Before I left the UK I found the cost of professional indemnity insurance prohibitive - just one of many reasons to leave!
