No problems... I indeed still owe you some of the Balkan photos, some interesting stories and the plan for the second trip, although I promise I'll share everything as soon as the rush is over!

Oh, Board games...My Specialty :D From Trivial pursuit to poker I´m the best! Kida competitive too. I hope you are a worthy oponent although I don´t think I can come up with the cash to gete there!

I would be a totally unworthy opponent in trivial pursuit and poker. My general education is that of a rhinoceros and I have no luck at all. I´m only good at boardgames when the goal is to kill or invade someone!

Well my mom was something like a second cousin or something.

Che Guevara was born in Rosario Santa Fe, moved to Buenos Aires and was a regular Medicine Student from a middle-high class family in Argentina.
Apparenttly he had a breakthrough during a trip with a friend. My mom saw him as the older cousin, someone you come across twice a year.
To some people he´s an inspiration cause, prior to his communist face, he cured people for no money, he travelled through very poor Latin American villages offering help for a room and some food. To others though, he made bad choices when he joined Fidel Castro, who finally left him to die in Bolivia.
To me, it´s a little of both. Very nice thinking but very bad ways of expressing it. Anything that ends in "ist" should be deleted of the dictionary.Extremes, my friends are always bad.

Guerrilla warfare is he parallel to this phenomenom
You can find information on the SOA in the internet. There´s always 2 sides of a same story. Sometimes 3 if we talk about guerrilla in colombia.

What made me think he´s a sadist was how he described in his book how he maintains discipline among his guerilleros. Now, I don´t have any idea how to lead a guerilla army, but I think his management style was, say, very traditional. Like shooting deserters in public and things like that. He made no mention of regrets and I had the suspicion he actually enjoyed those acts.

I thought that when you make a revolution for what you think is a just cause, you can expect your guerrilleros to be highly motivated anyway and don´t need to do things like that. If they get so demotivated that they decide to leave your army, maybe you are doing something wrong?

But maybe that´s just a naive thing to say and war always sucks, no matter what you fight for.

The thing is my budget is kinda complicated to be travelling!

Wars, dirty wars are just not fare...i don´t see anybody winning anything but, although naive, I tend to look for peace other than taking things to such extremes.
Of course no political leader will agree with me...unfortunately
