New Twitter Features - Location, and Ad Targeting

Twitter is testing a feature to show nearby tweets on a map:

I don't know if that will have a practical business use that goes beyond monitoring certain keywords, but it might be worth keeping an eye on.

They're also adding some advertising features to target synonyms and Twitter lingo:
