A year ago, I proposed to my wife that we sell everything we own and become full-time digital nomads. She wants to travel, but also wants a "nest" — a home base in the United States. Starting tomorrow, our compromise plan goes into effect.
Both of us are lucky enough to have work that can be done from anywhere over the Internet.

Ah, that was always my dream when I started travelling....still is i guess, but now I have a hostel in the way...for a little while at least...
However, the good thing about working in a hostel is I still feel like I am travelling, its just that the world comes to me...so I guess I am travelling from home...

This thread must have touched a nerve cause Im back...just to announce that I am proud of myself, for recently travelling seven weeks in Mexico (cough cough) with only a daypack, but carrying a laptop. That is truly the nomadic dream I wish to achieve permanently, but I think I do need the base...I feel the need to have things every couple of years, then get rid of them all again...

That's my dream job, however I transitioned from tech stuff over to management a few years ago. Generally managers have to stay in site :(
