Ryanair again
A relative sent me the following:
Someone said on Twitter that they got a RyanAir quote (online) and it was £150. The next day they went to buy it and it had gone up to £215. So, they deleted their cookies, reloaded and it was back to £150. It would appear from this that they deliberately inflate the price the second time you view it!!
Fits the pattern of Ryanair.

I have certainly had a similar experience. Now I always use the private browsing feature of a web browser so that details about previous visits are not kept when using Train, Plane or Bus booking sites. It's hard to know what sites employ this technique, but you can get around it.

Good idea...

Private Browsing allows you to visit websites without the harmful stuff of cookies, list of websites visited, cache being permanently stored, as it is all erased after you close the browser window, or end the session.
Wikipedia says this:
Privacy mode or "private browsing", sometimes informally referred to as "porn mode",[1] is a term that refers to privacy features in some web browsers. Historically speaking, web browsers store information such as browsing history, images, videos and text within cache. In contrast, privacy mode can be enabled so that the browser does not store this information for selected browsing sessions. This allows a person to browse the Web without storing local data that could be retrieved at a later date. It is of note that this offers virtually no privacy protection beyond the local level. For example, it is still possible to identify frequented websites by associating the IP address with the user on the server end. Privacy mode will also disable the storage of data in cookies or Flash cookies.

Thank you. I did not realise that this facility existed. Having read your details above, I found the option readily in the Firefox menu.

Totally senseless! I don't really believe that this is going to work. unless they are really willing to finish phone reservations services.
