Very good photographs. Attractive buildings. And I had no idea that Taiwan had scenery like that. Mind you, I've never thought about Taiwan in any way really. I see the weather was pretty hazy.
I've been offline for most of the past week, taking a much needed break from the computer. I'm just catching up on emails and tasks today.
Here are some photos from a trip to central Taiwan I did this past week.

Thanks... Taiwan is a great travel destination. Some attractions:
I would definitely come back here again...
I think Taiwan is naturally hazy. I haven't seen a completely blue, clear sky yet.

A few examples from the past two days of how friendly people in Taiwan are:
When I arrived at the train station in this town yesterday, I was having trouble communicating with the tourist information desk because of the language barrier. I was trying to find out where my accommodation was located. One of the employees said he would drive me to where I was going, despite the long line of taxis outside. He spent at least 30 minutes driving me around.
When I asked for directions to a coffee shop today, the owner of the place that I'm staying at offered to drive me into town, and to call her when I was done so that she could come pick me up (10 - 15 min drive each way).
After I got to town I was wandering around with a map, and an off-duty police officer asked me where I was going. I said I was looking for an ATM that would accept my foreign ATM card. He gave his son a couple of dollars to buy something at McDonalds and then drove me around on the back of his scooter to a few ATMs until I found one that worked.
Friendliest people that I've met anywhere...
