I am thinking about opening a hostel in the Dominican Republic. Is it hard to turn a house into a hostel? Are there laws against this?

Hi Edward- You will need to look into the laws specifically in your country. I know many people who have opened their houses to become "hostels" in Argentina, for example, but less so in other countries. Depends on zoning laws and your neighbors, really. Are you able to list a room on Airbnb where you are?
