Where are you putting your marketing $ in 2010?

We've all got a budget that we need to stick to. I'm trying to get an idea of the best bang for the buck in terms of marketing money.

We're a fairly large hostel in Chicago. (Chicago Getaway Hostel) Does anyone have any advice on where to spend my budget? I am particularly interested in hearing from other US hostels.

Any luck with hostelhandbook?

How about Bakpak Guide?

What about a featured ad on hostels.com?

Gap Travel Guide?

I'd love to hear any other suggestions you might have. Thanks in advance.

I would be looking a lot to online marketing however a lot of your investment here is going to be time as online can be cheap but time consuming. We are getting involved in blogging, tweeting, integrating facebook fan pages in our site.

I understand bckpackers hostels in the US are not huge but working with other hostels and doing network marketing is always a good idea
