I don't know who they are run by, but they are certainly using hostelworld to make the bookings. Perhaps they are acting as an affiliate booking site? Personally I don't like this sort of thing, I would prefer just to be listed on Hostelworld and hostels.com. The more thinly it's spread the more your homepage bookings are diluted.

It looks very well-built... WordPress with full Hostelworld API integration that probably took a lot of work.
It appears to be run from Vancouver.

Youth-Hostel.com: No need for a membership card to receive the best prices.
Gonna get in trouble for this. Our competition in Edmonton has the little $4 extra charge note if you do not have a membership card.

You've got a really good point there - England YHA charge extra for no membership, and some of their hostels are on there - it's around $5 more per night. Although I'm not sure if they waive this fee for HW bookings. They were doing this in Scotland, although it wasn't always known by reception staff, and it created some problems having a two tier system
