Twitter growing like crazy

Just saw this on Twitter:

Twitter is growing by 10,000 users per day.

I think the purpose of Twitter is networking more than selling. There are a lot of tech-savvy social media influencers on Twitter. If you can get them to pick up your message they can spread it beyond Twitter.
