Bunk bed size?

heyy.
i'm keep asking questions. sorry
once i get my hostel going, i'll provide some info for potential hostel owners too^^

i'm deciding size for the bunk beds

1. 2100mm x 1060mm (wood)
2. 2045mm x 810mm (metal)

i'm leaning towards no.2 because i can fit more beds and looks more roomy.
but no.2 will give more comforts to guests.

any comments?

Hi sean, Consider which set of bunks has the longer lifespan and warranty (if there is a warranty). Do the metal/wood bunks have built in lockers? How much cost is there to buy or build lockers seperately? How much space will seperate lockers take up? Metal bunks tend to be lighter and easier to disasemble; meaning you can divirsify your opperation easier by switching a empty dorm room into a private room that are easier to sell. Metal bunks tend to sqeek much to the annoyance of the guest.

None of them has built in lockers
i'm going to ahve lockers on oneside of the wall.

i'm leaning towards getting metals ones just bcuz it's smaller.

The metal frame bunks tend to squeak as the guest gets in/out of bed, sometimes to the annoyence of other guests in the room. There are soft rubber washers on sale to help minimize this noise.
