Google's Local Business Center has been renamed Google Places, and now includes a number of new features.

Features:

$25 per month featured listings
2D barcode integration
free photo shoot of the interior of their business
businesses can post real-time updates

I noticed this when checking out our listing the other day. Once you verify your listing you can update much of the information, including the default photo displayed.

The photo google dug up from somewhere must have been 10 years old of our property. It looked disgusting. :(

The reviews section still needs work. Many of the reviews for our property are not what I'd call current.
