Where is the perfect spot for a Hostell?
General Hostel Operations
My girlfriend and I am currently looking for the perfect spot to start an Hostell.
Criteria:
1.Location: Equatorial, warm all year (no snow), by the sea or on an island
2.Steady flow of backpackers all year
3.Decent taxes and a semi-decent government (in the term that they are not very likely to take my business and residential papers when they change government).
4.Good living.
5.Not too much competition
I will travel the world in two tears time to check out hostels businesswise.
Any good ideas for a location?

Too expensive, too much rules as there are "designated spots for smoking". I want cooler laws than US laws anyway.

It's cheaper than most people think as long as you know where the locals buy things. The drinking age is 21 though, so probably no bar.
Do you mean you want smoking inside?

Hey!
No, I am not going to have smoking in the hostel, even though i am a smoker myself. I just have that belief that countries who bans smoking in public places dont have enough to do. They are making all kinds of freedom-restricting laws.
If they ban smoking in bars, it is just the beginning of all kind of stupid drinking laws and taxes that are implemented in lets say Norway where i am from.
I do not want any of that.
I want a country where i can do pretty much anything i want if it does not hurt anybody beside myself. I got a tip to check out the Philippines, that might be a score.
