Models for Hostel Grants / financial aid to hostels

Hi.
In my country (Israel) there are a lot of grants to hotel founders but most of them are not relevant to hostels - they mostly require ownership on the building or very long lease time (at least 15 years) as well as other rules which doesn't fit us.
Some of the local authorities here are trying to help us but have no idea which kinds of hostel grants or other financial aid (bank grantees etc.) can be given and which obligations should the hostel give in return.
I wondered does anyone know of any models which apply in other countries in and world. If yes I would be glad to know what are the requirements from the hostel owner and do they get.

They're tough to come by my man, and of course very country specific.

Here in London I have found a few grants and loan programs that apply to the hostel development I am looking at undertaking in East London. One is from the Prince's Foundation which would give money toward smoothing the planning process so long as the development is 'green' and involves the community, two core aspects to my concept.

I would contact a property lawyer as well as an agent, probably those that focus on smaller commercial real estate deals.

Your website looks awesome! This journey of mine started off with a trip to Israel, where I stayed at the www.hayarkon48.com hostel in Tel Aviv for a month...changed my life really, now I live in Europe, and that stay really pushed me toward trying to create a similar community feeling hostel where I live, Brick Lane.
