This is the first enquiry for me in this website & I really like all discussions & ideas exchanged here .
To decrease costs & expenses I was thinking to start using disposable bed sheets . Any one tried to use them here ? Do you think they will be acceptable from guests ?

Not sure if it's a good idea. They are quite thin and transparent (i.e. you can see the mattress through it) and they also give a hospital feeling. Either sure about decreasing costs (because better quality non woven bed sheet can cost more than to wash a normal one).

I never thought about disposable bed sheets, but I would have to agree with SilverSeagull. They don't give the warm homey feel of a hostel, but rather the cold and clinical feel of a hospital.
A quick search showed me about $2 per bed set for the disposable ones. Maybe you found a much cheaper source. Our sheets have lasted us for many years, so the cost over time is significantly reduced. I'm not sure the savings would be big enough to choose the disposable option.
Just for the sake of playing devil's advocate though, the disposable ones wouldn't require as much storage space. They woudn't need to be maintained if they get stained or get holes in them. You never need to worry about getting the sheets back form the laundry in time for big turnover days. And your guests are less likely to pull them off the beds and wear them like togas out to the bar.

I think a disposable bed sheet is an ideal choice. Less cost and easy to use. But you should make a test to know the guests like it or not.
