Hi Hostel Owners/Investors/Managers of Hostel Management,

I would love the chance to find out more about your experiences with hostels, and how you got into the industry, how you got started with your own hostel, sucesses/failures etc.

I have experience with travel, both profesionally and personally, and I'm looking into starting/investing into a hostel. I have a set amount of money I'd like to invest, but beforehand, I'd like to gain as much feedback/thoughts from people with other hostel experiences. I could also be looking for other partners, managers, hostels to invest in, so if you have interest, please let me know.

Hi Sam,

It's great that you're reaching out to other hostel professionals to get the inside scoop!

Are you thinking of running a place yourself, or are you more interested in investing in a hostel business that someone else will operate?

I'm pretty sure you'll find both kinds of professionals here, and plenty of stories from both sides. Sharing what your goals are might help to make the right connections.

Hi Sam,

I have no proper experience as hostel manager; just a little as hostel user and apartment/room rental.

I own:

1. A 2000 m2 beachfront lot in Little Corn Island, Nicaragua (https://www.flickr.com/photos/38151463@N04/albums/72157671209756941). No building yet. Municipal water and electricity.

2. a 570 m2 old villa in the countryside of central Tuscany (https://www.flickr.com/photos/38151463@N04/albums/72157664218638196). lot of work to restore it.

Both places have great touristic potential. Little Corn as a diving hotspot and Caribbean jewel. The Villa strategically located at the center of the most beaten touristic circuits.

I need partners. For experience, capital, and daily management.
