I am using myallocator now (cloud beds) and notice the prices going up and up..... Anyone using a channel manager that costs less per month based on a yearly subscription?

Even with the new pricing, I still think MyAllocator is one of the cheapest channel managers for hostels and a great value.
Some PMS systems have their own channel management software. Depending on what PMS you’re currently using, you might check with them to see if they have a solution that would be cheaper for you overall.

I just looked at Beds24 and their pricing does look very good until you use their price calculator. For my small hostel 6 rooms with 20 beds in total myallocator is still cheaper.

The price you see includes your PMS & CMS .....so for example MyAllocator + Loventis
Have to say using Beds24 now in 12 locations in Ireland and is very much cheaper, better, and great service support fom Beds24

I think the best approach is to select software that increases your hostel income far in excess of the software cost.
We can look at many things as a cost or as a tool to assist us gain more income. For example we all pay for electricity so how to turn that expense in to a something that increases income?
1. Smart positioning of sensors to switch on lights is very helpful to guests not familiar with the position of light switches.
2. LED lights to be environmentally considerate.
3. Well positioned power outlets and adaptors for sale so guests can charge their devices securely.
Most hostel software providers are seeking to ease the booking management pressures at your hostel. Next steps are to increase bookings, then increase direct bookings, then to incrase guest satisfaction so you gain better reviews and ratings. Then to stimulate more ratings and reviews. Help automate conformance to local laws and regulations. Health and safety. The list increases over time so you should gain increasing value from the software provider in line with increasing costs.
If the discussion goes on too long about who has the lowest priced software then you deserve guests seeking the lowest priced bed.
