Hi there Syndico

Great to read your post!!! I'm currently in Nicaragua (having travelled through CR and Panama) and have been looking at various places to start-up a hostel, as I too see this as an exciting place just waiting to boom! I would love to hear your ideas. I'm looking to start up in the next 1-3mths, with finance in place and would like a partner with vision and creativity. I'm also wanting to have an educational volunteer programme attached to give back to the local community - would that also be of interest to you. :) I have exerience in managing hostels in the US and also Europe. I have travelled extensively around Nicaragua and I'm of the same opinion regarding SJDS and Granada. I was thinking further up the Pacific Coast, such as, Las Penitas or The Corn Islands on the caribbean side.

Cheers Grace, have PM messaged you. Interesting response so far... Anyone else thinking of investing in a potential goldmine ( both monetary and also by giving back to the local enconomy?)

Hey Guys,

I'm also looking to open something, potentially in Nicaragua. I've been searching for the best locations for surfing and cheap land for over 4 years now, on and off while working in Canada. Pamana and Nicaragua are great for warm water and good waves, I found Panama safer and with better roads, easier to do business; but the land is a bit more expensive and the surf less consistent than Nicaragua because of the offshore wind in Nica. I would like to set up a tree house concept up a hill nearby the surf. Got about 30-40k to invest so I'd definitly need 1 or 2 partners. I'm heading to Ecuador next week and after that I will have done all the pacific coast from Mexico to Peru.
