Do you ever encourage the front desk to play "matchmaker"? I.e., put guests into rooms based on mixing men and women who might meet each other and get along well :)
I used to do it... some rooms had certain names and were reserved for certain types of people that would be compatible with each other. These things can't really be written down though because if a guest finds out they were put into a room officially called, "the ____ room" in the front desk manual, they might not to like it.
The rooms were even arranged by who walks by which dorms. E.g., the female dorms were in a place that didn't have traffic that needs to go by them. I think that helped reduce the incidents where a few weird guests harass the female dorm guests.
What do you think? Is "matchmaking" (or even careful matching) by the front desk worthwhile, or a waste of time?
