A couple of years ago Hostelworld had minimum ratings. I think it was something like 55%.
Lately I've been seeing hostels listed with really low ratings like 35%. One of the pages on Hostelworld says, "Here are our best rated hostels in [city]:" and the only hostel listed has a 34% rating.
Is there still a minimum and hostels are given period of time to improve, or the minimum is gone? Do the other booking engines have a minimum rating?

Hostelworld is registered here on the other section of the site. They promised to come post in the forum and provide more information about Backpack Online, but that was a while ago... still hoping that they will join the discussions because they have such a large impact on hostelling.

Joining these forums would be to Hostelworld's benefit because they could answer questions about Backpack Online. There are hundreds of hostel managers and owners reading these forums and I know that some of them have used this site for front desk software information.
