My Name is Bill. I am looking for a group of people to start a Hostel co-op. The more the merrier. It is hard to find financing for hostels but if a group of people get together, pool there money, brains, and enthusiasm it should get easier. Haven't worked out all the details yet but it goes something like this. Group of people pool resources, amount pooled goes toward hostel(location to be decided), each person works the hostel for set number days per year based on original contribution. All contributions to the fund receive interest. Buy out of hostel at set period of time or re-invest. Lots of details to work out.
Anyone interested let me know.

Good Morning
Glad to see there is interest in the idea. Do you have any thoughts on the subject such as destination, size, own or lease or combination? What is your background?
I have been involved in adventure tourism for the last 30 years. Everything from Day trips to multiday adventures in back country settings. Just recently sold my tour company and am looking to get into hostels. I envision a 60 bed plus, destination unknown but am drawn to the Montreal area. Ideas welcome.
This site is new to me so if you have any ideas about how to post so we don't have to have an intro for each new person, let me know.
