hostel in colombia/brazil

Hello,

After travelling throughout central and south america a couple of years ago, i am now really interested in opening a small hostel in either colombia or brazil. In terms of cost, i realise brazil would be more expensive. However there seems to be a shortage of hostels in brazil. I would be interested in the north eastern coast, natal and the surrounding area, preferably a world cup city.
Possibly my favourite place i visited was the colombian caribbean coast, santa marta, taganga and cartagena. This are also appeals to me.

I would be looking for a partner to match my initial investment of 40,000 dollars. Any thoughts or comments on this would be appreciated
