I have been a Hostel Manager and Events Manager at one of the #1 hostels in North America for the past 3-1/2 years. We have been rated the #1 hostel at least one month of every year over the past 3 years and probably would be almost every month if we had a newer, updated building. The main aspect of the hostel in which I have been managing over the past 3 years has continually received Hostelworld ratings above 90%, the events and entertainment building aspects of the hostel! I also have been working the front desk and more or less self-managing the entire operations of the hostel for the past 3 years, checking in as many as 40 rooms per 8 hour shift while managing over 180 guests on average per night with only help by the cleaning staff and owners "remotely". I would consider myself an expert in running a hostel in the U.S. and I know what it takes to make a Hostel #1 and maintain that rating!!! I also know what lacks in a hostel and have been and will continue to create solutions to continually make the industry better. I have established 3 year contracts with some of the best nightclubs in the world, having added a "world-class entertainment package" for the guests, while on average escorting over 100 guests per night to the nightclubs and other events, 7 nights per week! When I started at the hostel there was no entertainment director or packages, at which time I created the first events with 20 persons per evening one night per week, building it to over 100 guests per evening 7 nights per week. I also added a professional dj set-up for our guests in which I DJ'd 3 to 5 nights per week and created and produced a daytime pool party for our guests named the "Electric Beach Party", while booking top International DJ's! Most people who stay with us say the hostel is one of the top 3 hostels in the world, it was rated TOP 10 in the World in 2013, and I take great pride in this! I am interested in primarily Entertainment Management and creating great events that build a Hostel Business and it's ratings, but I am also willing to assist and/or manage in every other aspect of Hostel Operations with a team that is looking to grow and build a #1 Hostel! I am open to any ideas anyone may have and would love to brainstorm to help build your business and listen to "your ideas"! I am an absolutely loyal, open minded person who will only stick with the best upcoming hostel in your market until we build to the point that your team wants to get to! In Miami, the entertainment aspect of the Hostel business that I built, went from a $500 a week gross income to a $12,000 a week gross income in less than 3 years, and the nightclub revenues were well over $500,000 per year when I moved on! I am looking to work with a Hostel at a Tropical Beach Location with strong entertainment potential, but would consider other locations as well. I am a Beach, Entertainment, Surf kind of guy who loves great hospitality, great events, cultural activities, and natural environments. What I am really looking for is a hostel that continually wants to "grow and progress" while becoming and maintaining the "best ratings"!!!
