Online booking that automatically feeds availability through to other booking sites?
Does anyone know of online booking software that can be used as a hostel's main booking system and that automatically feeds availability through to all the main online booking services such as hostelworld, hostelbookers, gomio, HI, etc? Updating availability on all these sites makes being on them all impossible for us. We have been able to use the Scottish YHA system up to know, which automatically fed through to HI and hostelbookers, but they don't want affiliates using their system anymore.
Can any other systmes do this? If it doesn't already exist, is there anyone out there interested in developing one?

Just had a look at the site - very, very good idea. I look forward to investigating more in the coming months.
You're not by chance the same Mark and Mo who kept the SYHA's IT dept afloat are you?

Hi, Yes the same duo - I guess you are TC? Hope all is well and hope our product solves a problem for hostel mangers with updating lots of booking engines.
Cheers, Mark

Hey...good to hear from you again. It's been a while!
I knew it was only a matter of time before you lads would come up with something genius like that.
Best regards.

Hi Andrew,
Siteminder does do a similar thing but the majority of their channels are for hotels and some of them limited to the Australian/New Zealand regions - Oh and it costs twice as much.
http://www.myallocator.com is for hostels in any geographic region to be able to update hostel booking engines by simply updating once and pushing out to the engines.
We have had another 3 hostel booking engines agreeing to work with us this week alone and expect that to grow.
I hope you see that this can be a big benefit for both hostels & booking engines??
Cheers,
Mark.

Do you have a beta version of it that hostels can try out? Or will you have a trial period for hostels to try it out (ex - 14 days for free)?
Great idea though!

The beta version will be ready in 2 weeks and we are offering a 30 day free trial, then £10 per 30 days worth or unlimited use after that.
I will put you on our list of test users if you agree to that and in the meantime would recommend that you sign your hostel up to the the following booking engines if you want to be able to update them from Myallocator.com -
Hostelsclub.com, gomio.com, go2hostels.com, hostelmania.com, hostelworld.com, instantworlbooking.com - there are others coming later or in discussion.
Maybe send me a private message if you fancy testing it for us in a couple of weeks time so I don't hog this thread.
Thanks, Mark.

That's right Mark. I just thought I'd mention it. I don't endorse or discourage the use of siteminder.
Good luck with myallocator, there is certainly a need for an affordable, easy to use web app like this!

Thanks Andrew, we have put a lot into it and hope that hostels can at least treble their hostel booking engine exposure by using it for no extra effort. It's always good to hear that people like you think we have a good idea.
Cheers,
Mark.
