hi folks ;-) a short story... maybe someone has a tip or connection that he can suggest...
some time ago i was searching for a software that can connect my "room management software" to the web sites (booking .com, expedia.com... for example) and automatize our availability...
(our software is based on microsoft access and was written for us by the way)
i wrote to some companies that make the softwares that are suggested below and even spoke to the CEO in barbeidos of one company on the phone (hahahaha)...
understanding, that we need to change our "room management software" against an integrated system that the company itself offers i asked for prices and suggestions... so far they didnt really respond... so i have not really information on prices...
is there anyone of you guys that knows about prices or maybe even one of you guys works together with a company that might be interesting for me?
i want to have a solution until the end of the month... meaning... how much are the costs for a front desk operation software that does "automatized availability" of 14 web sites? (i dont need a system that has optical fibre connected servers from munich to vienna and costs 15.00000000000€ a month ;-) but i need to automatize the availability to make my life easier!)

I have written a system called Open Door designed for hostels of up to 80 beds, which has the potential for integrating with booking engines. Open Door generates a file of vacancies in XML format. A company called MyAllocator is developing links to booking engines, and if they develop links to all the engines you mention, they will perform an automatic translation from Open Door's output to the input needed by the engines. Similarly, if we receive incoming bookings in a standardised XML format, we can integrate them into the front-desk software. The cost will be a one-off cost under 1000 Euros.

Myallocator.com have created version 1 of their API specification for Front Desk applications to interface with them. Full spec can be found at http://myallocator.com/n/products.xt
This will enable booking syatems to interface with our portal which in return updates multiple booking engines.
