Hello Rich,
I've been dutifully scouting out some locations in Central America, Nicaragua specifically. I've got a couple of great ideas it may be worth sharing. Feel free to reach out if interested in pursuing further.
Regards,
Charley
Hello,
I'm an aspiring hostel owner looking for the right partner or partners to plan and launch a new hostel.
I don't have experience running a hostel but I do have a lot of professional experience in marketing and business strategy. I have captial ready to invest and willing to work on a business plan immediately.
The type of hostel I'm hoping to launch would be:
- Relaxed (not a party hostel)
- In a beautiful location (possibly on a beach)
- Small to medium size (up to 36 beds)
- Preferrably in Central or South America (although, I'm open to other locations if it's a good opportunity)
Currently I run my own business consulting firm, which I've been doing for the past 5 years. I have time and energy to move on this now, I just need to find the right partner as I think it will me more fun and an amazing journey with someone else.
If you are interesting in talking further, let me know your experience and current circumstances along with your contact details. We can then arrange a call to find out a little more about each other.
Thanks,
Rich

Hi Rich,
I have also been looking at possibilties in Central/South America for a hostel business, and have even drafted an early-concept business plan of my own. I am also looking for adventure-focused experience with positive effect on the local environment if at all possible. I have experience working in hotels and restaurants for over 10 years and I can bring a lot to your project from a service standpoint. I would be interested in connecting as I think our respective backgrounds could be mutually benefitial for a project or knowledge share. I hope to hear from you.
Best regards,
Trevor

Hola Rich and everyone,
Sounds like we all have similar goals. Myself, I chose San Juan Del Sur and moved down here a little more than 3 months ago after several scouting trips. Although my business plan goes beyond a traditional hostel, including several styles of accommodations, I still tend to call it a hostel. I've been running some numbers and found a few properties out toward the world class surfing beach of Playa Maderas. I'm currently working on the financing and reaching out to possible investors. Like you, I believe having a partner would not only be great for the division of labor but also the entire experience. I prefer to work with others with similar goals and energy, complimenting each other's strengths and weeknesses. If any of this sounds like it might be what you're looking for, definitely get in contact with me. I'd love to share more about my project or this part of Nicaragua.
sincerely,
jason

Hi! We have a successful hostel in Nicaragua and are looking for a Spanish/English speaking partner to help manage the hostel full-time so that we can relocate part-time for family reasons.
