When a booking comes in from booking.com to myallocator the credit card details are saved .
When the customer cancels the details are still visible in myallocator, you just login and click the booking and they are there.
MyAllocator - has anyone tried it?

Has anyone tried the hostel channel management system called MyAllocator?
Our web based hostel channel management product. This allows a hostel to update their bed/room prices and availability and to send it out to multiple booking engines.
We currently offer updates to Hostelsclub.com, Gomio.com, Hostelworld.com and Go2hostels.com. Hostelbookers.com have confirmed that they will come on board early 2010 and we are in discussions with a number of other booking engines.

As i know BPO and my allocator will work together.
BPO will integrate my allocator as his own channel manager.

Hi Jay, is this just a rumour or do you have serious information about it? It sounds a bit irritating to hear the big players are going to spread allocations to the many, no?
Or did they rediscover the basics of hostelling like openness, individuality and others than big money?

I can confirm this is real. The announcement will take place at the upcoming conference with both systems being ready shortly thereafter.

So if I have a hostel on hostelworld can i use myallocator for free then.
Or how does this affect people who use myallocator.
Also wont hostelworld see now what bookings we get from our won website or through affiliates.
I am a big fan of myallocator but I am not too happy about this move and might be looking to switch.
I understand you are also running a business and have decisions to make but for me this would not be a good partnership.

Great questions -- John. The connection is for BPO users only.
All other Myallocator' users will not be affected in any way nor will any of their data be shared.

Sorry I haven't used BPO so not familiar with it.
So people will be able to use BPO and with the new myallocator connection connect to sites like booking.com

Any BPO user who elects to use Myallocator as their channel manager will be able to connected to any of our supported channels.

You can assume that BPO with integration of MyA is indeed a perfect Hostel Solution product. You can also expect to pay for it as well. - How much is MyA linked to say Loventis - Then I would expect similar for BPO/MyA
Myallocator clients will no doubt be unaffected in there current position.
I agree the fact that HW have anything to do with it seriously undermines what should be a great IDEA!!
I will look at it the solution for all my clients currently using Loventis& MyA
