Nenya I can answer for us as to why we have a unique go to market strategy, as you state, being all in one that from the outside may seem expensive at around 100 euros a month for a 100 bed hostel. What we do generates more income for the hostel far beyond the cost of the software. We use the 100 euro price as a filtering mechanism to discourage potential hostel users that are not a good fit for our business culture. We will never offer a new user a 30 euro start price as it is not the market space that fits our culture. We know the most suitable user understands the value we deliver that goes way beyond the price per month.

Our PMS is just the core component of what we provide that includes a lot of free services all contributing to the hostel gaining more direct bookings. We like to communicate with users about specifically what will improve their direct 100% bed price paying bookings. We have found that hostels that want to connect with every agent possible is not a good fit for us because they tend to to but stuck in old industrial distribution thinking where it is from one to the masses. The internet and distribution is not like that and it is more fun to engage with the market how the market likes to be engaged.

So we have three paths for users.

1. Path is to utilise our integration with MyAllocator to connect with as many agents as possible and none of our existing hundreds of users has chosen that path.

2. Enable hostels to gain as many direct bookings as possible that includes our integration with Google so guests can book direct in to the hostel via Google Maps, Google Hotel Finder, Google locations etc. This path includes our direct integration with the major agents and use of the integrated website booking engine. About 1/3rd of users are on this path.

3. Setup users with major agents as well as the integrated booking engine and let the natural ebbs and flows of their location generate momentum of bookings without strangulation via too many agent integrations. 2/3rds of users are on this path.

If any user on any of these paths wants to pay nothing for the software then we provide them the opportunity for that. If any user wants to make use of service provider integrations to gain an increased cash flow of commission payments from those service providers, then we enable that to happen.

Only with communication with the hostel can we enjoy providing the solution that best fits their need. We are not in business to gain as many users as possible to then sell the business. This is a lifestyle for us that we find very rewarding and enjoyable so we like to make sure we have the right fit of user to keep it that way.
