At the moment there are over 30 new people signing up for the Forum every week, and it's probably going to reach 2500 registered users sometime next week. It would be great to hear 30 new introductions every week...

- How did you become interested in hostels?
- Where are your favorite travel destinations? (and why)
- Do you know of any good places where you think new hostels should be opened up?
Also, if you're working in a hostel at the moment, please share your thoughts in this poll:

Welcome to the site :)
Hi Everyone
I am opening a small friendly Maritime hostel in Saint John New Brunswick Canada. We are on the Bay of Fundy at the mouth of the Saint John River. The world famous 10 meter high tides flow through the falls twice daily. There are jet boat rides and sea kayaking in the rapids or sailing in either the Bay or on the rivers. The Fundy Trail along the rugged coastline, the Irving Nature Park/ Marine Bird Sanctuary and the Rockwood Park's hiking, biking or horse trails are all close to the hostel. Whale watching opportunities on tall ships or catamarans are also options.

Hallo... I am an Australian girl currently travelling Europe.... I stay in Hostels all the time as I LOVE meeting new people and (always) interesting people!!
My favourite place so far is the South Island New Zealand. If you have not been there... GO!!!
For the time being though I am looking for work in a fun hostel i Europe (or UK) where i will have the oopportunity to meet people, learn and new language and have fun at the same time... I have 10 years experience in the Hospitality and tourism industry and someday down the track i hope to own my own business. In the meantime... I am enjoying gaining all the experience I can!
I am currently in Praha (and anyone whoe comes here must stay at Blind Eye - the hospitality here is second to none! Outstanding!)
If you know of any job openings please let me know.. I am ready to start work and can re-locate immediately!
Cheers & Keep Smiling
Jayne

Hi my name is Christian and I work at Art Hostel Rio, in sunny Rio de Janeiro. We are almost 3 years old, and have 120 beds in total.
* Do you work at a hostel? Yep, in charge of the reception.
* How did you become interested in hostels? I've stayed in a lot of hostels all around the world in the last 10 years or so, plus worked in hostels in Barcelona, Valencia, London, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
* Where are your favorite travel destinations? (and why)? My favourite is Valencia - the perefect mix of a good-sized city, excellent beaches, food and nightlife! I also recommend Buzios here in Brazil.
* Do you know of any good places where you think new hostels should be opened up? There is a growing market in Brazil and in particular Rio, due to the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics.
